Since its founding in 1951, Higaki Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HSB) has constructed large numbers of vessels, creating a wide variety of types rather than focusing on specific ship formats in following with the Management Policy goal of building "high-quality ships tailored to the needs of the times." To date, the Company has built and delivered more than 700 vessels to customers, and we feel that it is our mission to make full use of the experience and successes accumulated through these shipbuilding activities over the years to create vessels even better-suited to users' needs.

In order to continue being the company that customers turn to first, HSB strives to develop and build ships that meet all demands from the perspectives of the customer, the environment and society. In addition to quality, technological and productivity improvements, we focus our efforts on improving Company work environments, securing and training capable human resources, and passing down their techniques and knowledge to subsequent generations. Refusing to rest on past successes, we constantly work to continually improve our shipbuilding operations.

Countless maritime-industry organizations in fields such as shipbuilding, marine shipping and ship- related manufacturing are concentrated here in Imabari, which is known as one of Japan's leading maritime cities. By moving forward together with and growing alongside partner organizations in the local shipbuilding industry, we strive to achieve shipbuilding that provides a better future for all.
